With the washer gods smiling upon us, we were blessed with perfect weather for the 2009 T.M.W.P.I. As each year has passed, each tournament has been a little bit bigger and a little bit better. This one is going to be hard to top. But, as long as we can keep bringing friends and family together in the name of washers, all things shall remain equal on Planet Earth.
The 2009 T.M.W.P.I. turned out to be quite a doozy with 32 teams battling for washer pitching supremacy. But, only one team would leave with the cash + the cup, the trophy, + the cheese, and the spoils of war.

Let me introduce you to a couple of characters in this crazy cajun carnival.

Bring 'Em In and Let's Get Busy!!!
Over the years, and I speak for many on this, pitching washers has become deep-rooted in Texas & Louisiana culture. I haven't met too many people that don't play washers these days. It may be 3 hole or it may be 1 hole but, this game is on the rise and we love it. It's hard for me to describe how much I enjoy playing a game of washers with friends but, I can tell you this, there are not many feelings better than sinking a 5 point cupper from 21 feet away. Let alone 2 or 3 for some of the hot hands out there. Enough about my love affair with washers....enjoy the pictures.
W.O.W. aka Brad Davis walking witha swagger that only a champion could have.

32 Teams. Double Elimination. Random Seeding.
This is a collage of all the years gone by playing washers. My late Grandfather, Thomas Max McFatter (fondly referred to as T-Max) began organizing legendary washer tournaments in Southern Louisiana during the late 70's right on through to the early 90's. That's why we take so much pride in our tournament and the reason we have named this event the, "T-Max Washer Pitching Invitational".Over the years, and I speak for many on this, pitching washers has become deep-rooted in Texas & Louisiana culture. That's a wrap.
I'd like to thank everyone who came out to both hang and participate in the washer tournament. I can tell you that each memeber of our family had a great time that we will always remember. It wouldn't be the same without such an awesome group of people. I mean, seriously think about it. What other group of people would make a game of washers such a braggadocios event? At the end of the day, we all love playing washers but it's no secret that this day is all about the people.
See you next year.
